Just thinking out loud really, but would be interested to read your comments….
I'm thrilled to have my MCV. Nothing wrong with it. Love it to bits. It's exactly what I wanted it to be when replacing my 4200. It's been reliable and (working on recent ticket prices) it's worth 25 percent more than I bought it for. All good.
However……….
GT Stradale!
I've driven the Strad'. It's an awesome motor car, much newer, newer technology, notionally more reliable(?) but it will depreciate.
It's the only Maserati I said I would change the MCV for and it's within budget.
I could spend much less than the difference and upgrade the MCV to similar performance, though what this would do to the resale value is questionable, so I guess that would make it more of a keeper (no bad thing), but still no financial negative in comparison to a depreciating Strad'.
Goodness, the Strad' does look good. It sounds great, but a wise investment over the medium term in comparison to the MCV? I think not……..
I've been vacillating between the two for the past month or more. What to do?……..
