Good point, Ross.

Robin, Ross indicates that your cars are in clear danger of damp. As a personal favour I will be pleased to look after your 308 for you until such time as I have finished with it - sorry - until you are ready to house it somewhere bone dry.

Industrial dehumidifier gets fitted over the weekend along with all the other electrics ;) I'll keep in mind you're kind offer for the 308 though lol

I'm here for you Robin. Just say the word. My personal sacrifice is your comfort in knowing your car will be in safe hands. (Can't vouch for the right foot, though.)

Fabulous to watch a driver that can thread a needle.... So often they will claim they cannot go over drains etc. rather than try!

Lots of progress over the weekend. The stone has been levelled out to form the drive and turning circle, 90% of the electrics are done (interior lights, dehumidifier, sockets and feeds for the parking lifts) the inside has been lined in 9mm ply and the landscaping has been more finalised with some initial planting taking place. Far enough forward for the 'Grand Dame' to try her new home out for size!

Looking good! Though you may need to get one of the mods to rename this thread for you, Robin. Perhaps "Garage build triumph (nearly)"

If we can rename threads, would it be possible to rename the 'Maserati's Spotted' thread? It makes my eyes bleed.
Mods? Pleeeeeease?

How are you looking too seal the doors, especially at the bottom.
No point in the dehumidifier at the moment and dust and leaves will fly in!
I guess some thick rudder sheet attached to the bottom?
All down to cost of course, but some electric insulated sectional doors would provide sealing, insulation, and added security.

I'd guess that's not the final floor Mike, what you see is the engineered base, it needs a floor, no doubt polished concrete or maybe even heated & tiled? Looks to me to be the best part of 80mm light at the moment :)

Think your signature strip needs up dating with the classy Roller...always said if I move to France I would have one just to enforce the view that I am the eccentric English man in the village when I nipp out for my coffee and pastries.

I've tried to slim my signature strip down not make it larger! It is a 1991 Silver Spur II Mulliner Edition, one of 71 cars built of which just 23 were RHD and she is number 50. Stumbled across earlier this year in Nottingham at a dealer specialising in LHD cars who had sold her owners now domiciled in Spain a LHD car and taken the RR in part ex. He didn't really know what he had nor did he present the car in a remotely decent way. I am only the second owner and she has done 19,000 miles from new.

and pictures of another Mulliner edition but not mine to give you an idea of the spec, if anyone is interested I will post more detailed pics of my car when she is finished in a month or so.
