Maserati Brand Awareness

I always knew that Maserati was a strong brand but thought that it was mainly amongst 'more mature' people or young petrolheads but it does seem to be across the board.
I had the 3200 sitting in the driveway today and was pottering about behind the hedge and couldn't be seen. A family went past with two boys, probably about 10 years old or just over and the kids clocked the car.

" Oh my God, a Maserati. It's a f***ing Maserati". That was the comment. I've got to say that I was more than a little chuffed :thumb1:

Nice to see there is enthusiasm for the brand amongst the youth, albeit with potty mouths!!

Having a conversation with a workmate last night about the cars we like and when Maserati came up we both agreed that the brand, the very idea of what a Maser is and should be is something very special, something you can't quite put your finger on but you just know it is there.

Never had anything but positive reactions from all ages with marci, Maserati just do not seem to draw the hate that Ferrari and lambo can do. I've had the odd comment about " bet that burns the fuel" at petrol stations but other than that......all good.

I was driving up the A449 Home on Friday and behind me was a white van and the driver videoed me all the way home :)

I had this in France last week....(ignore the date stamp. The battery had failed in the camera and kept resetting itself every time I turned the car off.)

Pulled onto my mothers driveway on Saturday to pick her up, small white van pulled up and blocked the driveway straight away I thought here we go what's his beef.

Out he gets praising the car, it stunning I've been following you lol, how much was it what engine is it can I see. All the time my mother and nephew are watching through the window haha he just really wanted to see the car.

Had someone filming me a few weeks back I swear she gets attention everywhere she goes

Went to see a flying Lancaster Bomber on armed forces day near Redcar (you know the place that once had a steel industry!)
Anyway it did not turn up but a Spitfire did so it was worthwhile.
When I got back to the QP there were 1/2 dozen or so people admiring it! All ages and gender
Usual questions and can I see inside etc?
They left satisfied and I left feeling proud

Ha ha, I had something similar a few weeks ago. Driving a twisting backroads route through the suburbs I had a black BMW 650 following me, he took every turn I took which had me getting a bit suspicious. When I parked up at the kerbside at my destination, he pulled up alongside me. I was then very suspicious and quickly ran some 'what if' scenarios through my head.

He lowered his passenger window and shouted over 'sorry mate, I just wanted to say what a gorgeous car you've got there'. Flashed me a big smile, thumbs up, and drove off.

Classic Trev! Love that!
Still say marci has the most photographed derrière in the highlands, looking in the rear view mirror at lights I quite often see someone with a smartphone grabbing a snap.......a bit unnerving I must say though being worried their foot will slip off the clutch whist concentrating on taking their pic!

Every time I go out in the GTS it gets people pointing and staring, the 3200 got the odd glimpse but the GTS is different league.

I have just done a 2800 trip through Europe and have to say I agree with this - true Supercar status for the price of a half decent exec saloon - I am sometimes (but not often) embarrassed by the attention my car gets.
On a recent trip to Belgium with some Mustang buddies all the cats were getting a lot of attention but when I turned up people were literally shouting out loud "MASERATI MASERATI!!"

I've had quite a few neck snapping moments, people asking to pose by the car, complements at the lights, and a guy nearly tripping himself up with his dog.

There is a presence driving one of these cars that I didn't quote realise before.

People are pointing and laughing at the big ginger monkey behind the wheel!

My GS gets attention whenever I'm out in it, can't think why! The Ghibli is more subdued, but still gets its fair share of photos and videos.

No Mark it's how awesome it looks and sounds and like Scaf says it's not a car for the shrinking violet. Yours however gets laughs because they see Despicable Me at the wheel! :D

Since I've had the 4200 I've noticed it does turn heads , A Maserati is still a rare sight on Britain's roads despite the diesel Ghibli's so they do attract attention.

The only times I've felt the public don't really show them any attention is the 2 shows I've attended, with a line of Ferrari and Lamborghini cars in front the maseratis may as well have been the start of public parking for all the attention they get.

Love the video with the young lad it , I'm even more impressed he had a proper DSLR in his bag ready to go
