Just arrived at my overnight stop at Newton Aycliffe after I departed my job in Leeds at 15:30 to get a call from the gym Co to say I was needed at an installation that had developed a serious issue in Liverpool docks! So I went back over the Pennines again and spent four hours fixing someone else's c0ckup.

Just grabbing a beer and rum while the bar is still open!

Welcome home Dem.

Also a warning to any of you travelling in Essex for the for sealable; do not stop for any but marked police cars! https://www.facebook.com/EssexPoliceUK/photos/a.200589970024911.50386.151478384936070/1079796898770876/?type=3

Morning, I thought I woke up early!

Couldn't sleep too much going on at work at the mo.

Coffee and Wheeler Dealers, both kids away, very peaceful.

Good morning everyone!
A satisfying evening was had yesterday freeing up a sticky calliper on Lottie. I'd got fed up of it sqeaking, so got quite copper-grease happy, but I suspect the freeing up the movement of the outer piston is what's made the most difference - well, the brakes (that were already slightly better than the maser) now feel really firm.
I also had a call from the lad I mentor asking me to be a referee for his first job - just a summer one, but a job nonetheless - and it sounds like he aced his interview to do engineering at college once GCSE results come out. He passed his English and Maths tests, but he aced the practical with a perfect score! Properly proud of him.
Non-descript day in the office today, apart from a colleague's leaving lunch, and then off to see the new Star Trek tonight.
Happy Wednesday!

Morning all,

Third day of the Ghibli being at the dealers sorting out the TPMS issue. No news yet. Feels a bit strange not being able to see it out of the window.

Last full week on this job. New venture stars next week. Exciting times.

Morning all!

Back in the South now and back to the exercise regime of spinning today. Velodrome session number 10 of 12 and it will hurt!!!!!

I'll leave you with this quote by Bob Dylan which I think sums up my life! :D

“A man is a success if he gets up in the morning and gets to bed at night, and in between he does what he wants to do.”

Morning all,
Fresher today but still lovely - the heat wave has gone methinks.
Convivial evening last night with ex work mates
Spot of shopping for lunch and maybe a bit of gardening

That quote Contigo is very very true

Well I gave myself a lay in this morning and I'm just breakfasting now, a drive on up to Gateshead shortly to the factory to complete a few days QC checking and tweaking designs for better production and reliability. Friday AM I'm doing a standards eveluatoon with TÃœV to get them to certify to USA standard so guess where I'm going to be working next year quite a bit.

Have fun all...
