My neighbours cat keeps climbing all over my GTS and it's doing my nut in.
Have tried various sprays and peppers based powders but has made difference.
I know what I want to do, without hurting the thing what can I do.

Even caught the little sod on my dashcam

You may need 2 to 4 as they are motion activated. 4 will definately create an invisible barrier round the car but you may be able to get away with 2 or 3 depending on how good the sensors are. If you park up against a garage door and you have the room then 1 on each side of the car at a wide angle so that the sensor range triangle over laps beyound the boot.

You could get someone else to hurt it?

Hose pipe, skoosh it each time it goes near until it associates Maserati with drenching! ;)

Allan and Stu have the best ideas. The issue with Allan's is you need to be awake :(

Sprays and stuff are of limited impact, although Lion **** is meant to be good.

As stupid as it may sound, a good layer of wax makes it just about impossible for them to jump on. I know this from experience.....

The only issue i can see with the sonic route is that you need the beams to converge before the cats leaping distance hence you may need 3 or 4 units depending on how you park your car.

The other thing with cats is they learn quickly so if there is a gap in the sensor field they will find it at some point.

Tried the sonic route before but it did not work, but then K only had one sensor.
I have been thinking of the sort of electric fence you see farmers use, there are ones legal and suitable for cats but it could really only be used to protect the two fenced sides of the drive so would not really do the trick as I think they would work that out quickly enough.

someone on another forum shared this link to a home made automatic hose squirting system, I really want one of these :)

Do you know the owner of the cat? If so just present them with a few valet bills and let them know if it keeps happening the respray one will be next.

If you know the cat owner and it is causing real damage to the car it is very cheap to bring a small claims court action at that level.

Find a wax or spray that is citrus or pine they hate that smell and won't go near it.

Try a couple of lemons or oranges cut in half in the scuttle or by the area it jumps up.

At least you can say the cat has taste :)

Sadly whereas dog owners would be responsible for damage caused by their pets it's not the same for cat owners - strange but true

Will give this a try

Buy an outside cover like mine has, it might prevent cats from making marks in the paintwork but it won't stop kids from stoving the roof in :(

I do have a cover but always worry that it will cause more damage that the cats messy prints.

One of my other neighbours has offers to walk his dog round the drive each morning marking it's territory (but not leaving any nasty presents)
