It would be very much an occasional car, by all accounts it is very loud so I don't think the neighbours would appreciate 6am v8 alarm clock!

Then you'll need to replace your neighbours. The sound is glorious!

As per Matt, the Strad with 2-seats is, for me, better / more fitting than the 4-seater. If I needed four I'd personally go for a 'normal' GTS, and there are plenty available for your budget so you can pick a spec which suits you.

Haha - I suppose something has to make up for the circa 2005 design infotainment

The infotainment is ****. But the exhaust note is sublime. The sat nav will just about get you to where you need to go, so thats all you need.

Did I mention the exhaust note is sublime? :rofl5::rofl5::rofl5:

Where are you based? I'm sure someone nearby would be more than happy to take you out in their GT so you get an idea of what they are like.
As it's for occasional use, you seriously don't want the M6. GTS or Strad all the way!

I’m based in Worcetser in the midlands, and yes the sounds is pretty intoxicating (especially when compared to something turbo like the M6)

Here is my guide to the nav, long winded but you can get to the exact point you need to get to with some forward planning:

Guide to planning a trip.

Adding GPS locations to the DIRECTORY for easy recall to the NAVIGATOR:

OBTAIN THE DMS (DEGREES/MINUTES/SECONDS) COORDINATE FORMAT. YOU CANNOT INPUT DECIMAL COORDINATES HERE:

For example type into google maps and right click the destination (pin) and then select "What's here", this then brings up a little info tab at the bottom of the map as shown below in red.

gmaps.jpg

Click on the hyperlink within this tab where you see the decimal coordinates and it will then on the left hand side of the screen give you the decimal coordinates and the proper GPS (minutes, seconds etc) coordinates as used by most if not all Nav systems.

Put in the Long (W) and Lat (N) coordinates here (they are the wrong way round in the above image):

Must be your old age Adam. Might wanna turn the old hearing aid up! ;)

My hearing hasn't been too good since getting caught in the crossfire between the Flying Banana and Phil‘s aaaaaaaaitch–piiiipe. Collateral damage, innit.

I purchased my 4200 from Hills about 8 years ago and it was a good car and a nice experience.
