Just noticed this, damage doesnt seem too bad to be fair - https://ebay.us/mH7F0L.
You must be gutted about that. Are you going to look out for another (not easy I know), or try something else?
Looks like it could end up back on the road though for someone, be a shame if it was broken for spares.
Lovely car AbidK. As above bet you were gutted. Great addition to the thread as if it's 10k to fix then it's well above the price of a good one at the asking price of 18995. Most are around 23k to 27k these day.
I was offered it back at 14K as repair estimate was £23

Quite a few body shops I called didn’t seem too keen to take on a aluminium quarter panel replacement not sure what the issue is as not really that clued up about bodywork. If someone can get the parts used then I’m sure it will stack up but for me I couldn’t justify it.£23, that's cheap, on a serious note that is a p1ss easy repair for anyone in bodywork but there's always that stigma of cat cars when trying to re sell at some stage in the future and only worth at least 25% less than non cat car values, wonder what the salvage dealer paid
No point having a car to look at imo might aswell use it daily and enjoy it I say. I do about 60k a year so try and spread over a couple of cars if I can but quite often I get comfortable in a car and end up never swapping and Instead putting the miles on 1 car. What I am impressed with is your comment earlier that you had already done 4000 miles in it in just 3/4 weeks as a daily driver!
Thats pretty hardcore, well done!
