Don't think I want to run two Masers tho lol! Do love the QP , always wanted one! Probably why I eventually went for the GTS, as I have a range for everyday driving, the GTS feels special for the sunny weekend blasts round the Surrey hills!Im curious to see responses. I would think QP is the favourite when it comes to large sedans, at least in this biased (or not!) forum.
Hi Guys, looking to pick up a cheap runabout for my wife and was looking at 2007 w221 mercedes s class s500s. Does anyone here own one or have any tips? I had an AMG factory kitted SL500 R230 a few years and I miss the easy laid back drives of the big mercs.

Agree with my heart Mark but my head says probably rather higher running costs!Yes, I can't see a single reason to choose a 2007 S500 over a 2007-2012 (ZF 4.2) QPV.
Agree re taxi comment in terms of reliability etc. My comment was more around the perception that you are on your way to or from LHR!By the time the W221 came out they’d sorted the rust issues. Interior is a lovely place to be and wears well. Air bags on the suspension can be troublesome but that’s the same with most systems. Electrics are their Achilles heel but that’s the same with A8s and E65s. There’s a reason they get used as taxis and that’s no bad thing.

This is my kind of S Class; https://www.edward-hall.co.uk/cars-for-sale/420sel-mercedes
Agree, but you follow my thinking? From a time when Mercedes built superior cars. The colour combo and condition is excellent. Not sure about the LWB version. If it was a coupe or a tightly suspensioned SWB I would agree.
