Happy Birthady ALFA! My daily hack for the last six and a half years, the only bits that don't work when they should are the dodgy electrics, the wiring loom snagging in the tailgate is a known fault which crops up regularly, but it's a great car and quick enough for my needs.... being the 1.6 though it sounds like a tractor.....
There are so many older Alfas I'd love to own..... 105 Series Giulias, Duetto Spider, 2600 Sprint (and the Zagato version), Giulia SS, 2000 Berlina, Montreal, Tipo 33.... lots of Mitos, Giuliettas, 159s, Breras and the new Giulia round here. My mate had a gorgeous 156 Sportwagon about ten years ago, when it wasn't throwing tantrums it was utterley sublime to drive and so pretty.
When Alfa get it right, they get it right....
