Started up fine this morning.
Remote lock responded with a beep series additional to usual. Thought nothing of it.
Fired her up to shuffle round this afternoon:-
NIT Blank: Dead, Kaput. (I've dealt with loads of disk boot failures, certainly not that, not the usual Raster lines/blank white screen. Just dead, blank, 'unpowered'.
Drivers display: mileage flashing + Message: 'No data Loaded'.
Never seen that before.
Looks as though lost contact on the CAMBUS, or voltage below tolerance.
The usual symptoms of graceful degradation (door microswitch/window detent) all healthy so no indication of low voltage
Fired up and move OK
Performed a battery reset: disconnect for > 5minutes (perhaps should have been longer). Removed dastardly temperamental -ve terminal.
Charged the battery (Healthy - checked by Matt et al a couple of weeks ago) charging directly to terminals:
On CTEK conditioning charge: indicators show decent capacity on start up. Charged for an hour:
Disconnect charger, jiggle/abraded the negative terminal. Re-secured.
Doors locks playing up, microswitches only move window to detent, doesn't unlatch.
Fired up fine.
As anticipated, NIT had reset to default date. Applied correct date/time.
Door locks now responding
Fummf.
She's been sitting out in this appalling wet weather, probably damp temperamentalist
Petulant girl.
Spanked her Ar$e over the top to the Slaughters, Stow and home.
That'll teach you, madame.
Serious, has anyone seen the 'No data Loaded' Message before? I think it said that or something close to that.
What think?
I'll spank her again tomorrow
Robin
