Yes, I've heard the same from various sources. By the way, for anyone who wants to submerge themselves in discussion about the Emira, one of the better sources is The Lotus Forum (known as TLF), just search 'Emira'.I was reading about deposits and they have bloody loads which is not surprising. If you believe what you hear a 1000 on day one of Goodwood and that doesn’t include the rest of the world etc….I think there may be a long waiting list for this car and some hefty premiums for the first cars I bet by speculators.
I thought the gear mechanism was going to have a mesh cover over it?
Makes it easier to cable tie...
Just had the manager of the new showroom in Ashford call me (it's been open 8 days) I'm booked in for their dealer launch in September/October.
It was interesting to hear that each dealer is getting an initial 50 cars. How many dealers are there?
He said, some long established dealers have sold their allocation already, as they are so new, whereas he has most of his left.
I understand that there won't be.Will there be a convertible in due course ? I saw somewhere that there won't be, but maybe some of you have discussed it directly with Lotus.
I imagine it will have to have a cover of some kind for a safety rating.I thought the gear mechanism was going to have a mesh cover over it?
For the US I believe, especially since the mechanism has been open for years on the Exige.I imagine it will have to have a cover of some kind for a safety rating.
Thanks. In some ways that's a shame, but it's not like they're short of orders.I understand that there won't be.
There's a Lotus Channel 4 doc downloadable at the moment if anyone's interested which features this new car, it's a decent watch
Watched it thanks, those bonded aluminium chassis used to be made here in Worcester. Then Lotus bought the company and moved it to Norfolk.
I imagine it will have to have a cover of some kind for a safety rating.
