Before it was supposed to be the Alfa 6C it was going to be the Nuovo Ferrari Dino, apparently. On launch I was not impressed, it's not the usual Maserati recipe of sporty GT handling and a noisy V8. But, I have warmed to the car recently and, having seen the one owned by Andrew North at Alexanders Prestige, I think it's a marvellous thing. IMHO, it's a slightly larger V6 version of the Alfa 4C which is not surprising as I understand it was originally going to be the Alfa 6C. I will definitely be in the market for one in the future.
Not only would the margins be too thin for a ‘cheap’ Ferrari, what with the carbon tub, but selling more Ferraris would take the firm into a different EU group average emissions bracket.
It’s also why the Purosangue SUV is limited numbers, which runs contrary to the whole point of having an SUV in the lineup.
