May be of interest:
I did sort of think that, although mileage and condition are two seperate things.why would anyone who's not short of a bob or two buy one with 120k miles when you could get one with circa 40k miles for £3k more? unless of course you actually want it to break down so it makes a better story.
Pretty good, especially with the fact the seats motor automatically forward. It's quite impressive how much space there is for this type of car.Never been in a GS , are the rear seats as practical as he says?
Simply because he had it on recommendation that it's 'a good one'. That alone from those in the know is worth not bothering with a warranty. I'm sure that if he'd gone for the other one he would have concerns about it's health. It's all about peace of mind.why would anyone who's not short of a bob or two buy one with 120k miles when you could get one with circa 40k miles for £3k more? unless of course you actually want it to break down so it makes a better story.
Same space as a 3200/4200/MCV. A lot more practical than a 911...Never been in a GS , are the rear seats as practical as he says?
Yes, and incredible bit of packaging. More room for adults in the rear of a GS than a GranTurismo which is pretty good itself, and way more than a DB9/Vanquish/XK/911 or whatever.Never been in a GS , are the rear seats as practical as he says?
That car is well known to me and plenty of others on here, it is in far better condition than many with half the mileage, of course Jay didn't know that, or did he! If I didn't already have one I would have had absolutely no qualms about buying that one, and would have snapped it up years agowhy would anyone who's not short of a bob or two buy one with 120k miles when you could get one with circa 40k miles for £3k more? unless of course you actually want it to break down so it makes a better story.
Yes, XK is really cramped inside and not half as nice.Yes, and incredible bit of packaging. More room for adults in the rear of a GS than a GranTurismo which is pretty good itself, and way more than a DB9/Vanquish/XK/911 or whatever.
It's a bloody big car on the outside and far more cramped in. The rear suits are useless, good only for bags. It's far more of a GT-car where the GS always appears much more of a sports car.Yes, XK is really cramped inside and not half as nice.
Mine's done over that mileage and it doesn't break down. It's also been on 3 Sports Maserati European tours where newer lower mileage cars failed to make it around.why would anyone who's not short of a bob or two buy one with 120k miles when you could get one with circa 40k miles for £3k more? unless of course you actually want it to break down so it makes a better story.
Please don't speak too soon - mine hadn't either (although we had had one or two issues that had been sorted) until that fateful Saturdayit doesn't break down.

Yes, I thought I might have jinxed it by saying that! Please don't speak too soon - mine hadn't either (although we had had one or two issues that had been sorted) until that fateful Saturday

It highlights relativity. Whilst I could drive the GS all day, I would be pretty weary if it was on a motorway compared to my CL500. My good friend with a Morgan would probably find the GS whisper quiet! Out of Sport the ride on the GS is excellent but the low gearing and wind noise prevent it from being a true GT. But if it was, it probably wouldn't be such a good sports car!Yes, very cramped in the front, let alone the back….
I do like the way the GS sort of covers off sporty GT car, focussed enough to drive in a committed way yet docile enough to do a tour.
