I think that because my boys are a bit bigger and require the headrest to be moved higher the booster seat is pushed away from the actual seat.
I have just ordered an official Maserati one which I am told is the recommended chair for the car. I will report back once it arrives.

The problem is that when you lift the rear of the booster it rests against the car headrest and moves the back of the booster seat away from the seat and a gap is created which apparently is dangerous.
I think the Law has now been changed and the small boosters won't work.
The wife is also very safety conscious and wants side protection too, so it needs to be a high back one.
Okay, so we just took a tip to Halfords and not one booster worked in the GTS as the headrest pushed the booster seat forwards so the back of the booster didn’t sit against the actual seats in the car and this was deemed unsafe.

I have done a bit of searching on here but can't really seem to find what I'm looking for.
I have 2 boys aged 8 and 5 and I'm trying to find high back boosters that fit well in the rear seats. I think the base needs quite narrow to have a snug fit.
