My confusion has returned.... A few weeks ago I sat in a GTS auto with 4 exhausts and with small gear change paddles with what felt like velvet on the back. Looking in the classifieds i can see this one which has the 4 exhausts but has bigger paddles...

Exactly. When I found out it was twins, my first thought was to get an Exige V6 and a separate mile mile muncher, but I realised i'd hardly ever get to use the Exige, and the only time my wife would get to be in it would be when we have a babysitter at home.

A diesel SUV is hardly the same as a GTS. A big 4x4 is what i see as the other family car and I'd want it bigger than the Levante.

Appreciate the advice, but I am set on the GTS as long as the seats physically fit, which it sounds like they will. The twin buggy we are looking at folds tiny, and the car seats attach to the chassis. The was a type of buggy which easily fitted in the boot of an Evora 400 with room to spare, so...

Thanks for all the info. These are all important to consider. I am 5'11 and my wife is 5'9. In terms of getting them in and out, as long as the seats can fit through the gap the weight won't be a problem.

I have thought of another question! Do you guys have independent warranties when outside of the manufacturer's warranty? I think i would want one; warranty direct seem to be around £1.5k for a year.

I am glad it isn't just me being "special" and that the variants really are that confusing (at least at first). So on re 2012 face lift there is the GTS auto and the GTS MC shift.... and then after the 2012 face lift there is the MC sport (autoshift) and then some with the MC Shift gearbox...
