QP (supposed) MSP, ABS and skyhook failure

It may sound funny but check the front passenger footwell very carefully for any signs of water ingress or dampness under the carpets. The control ECU is located in the lowest point of the car and if water has penetrated it (and it happens) you will get multiple sporadic and random faults...

    Auto Ice Mode - GranTurismo

Ice mode moves my consumption from 17.5 MPG to 24 MPG in a QP Sport GTS. I always put it on when I'm running very low on fuel or when cruising on a long motorway journey - it really helps.

    First review of new QP

I attended the customer preview in London a couple of weeks ago and saw the car in the metal. Some observations: The car shown was in Grigio with a dark saddle leather interior and wood finishing. First impressions - it is HUGE, somehow the extra five inches or so added a mid-ships makes the...

Genuine Maserati wheel centre caps...3 sets...Giallo cars

I need a new set of these too so I checked before bidding. It is a rather confusing picture. The vendor lists the centre caps as fitting the QP and the 4200 Gransport but these are different Maserati part numbers. A set of four OEM, part no. 244027 New Maserati Quattroporte RIM CUP "Tridente"...

Bloody **** it's here (new shape QP)

The Rapide is the world's first and only four door two seater car. It is impossible for a teenager or an adult to spend any time in the back of it. Indeed actually getting in and out of the rear if you are 6' or more involves entering sideways putting one leg in and lifting and twisting the...

The New QP- Official Maserati Link

Only four seats? Looks good to me but I'll reserve final judgement until I see it in the metal in two weeks time. I've been waiting a while to replace my QP Sport GTS in which I've done 52,000 miles in 4.5 years so far. However if I read the site correctly this seems to have become a less...

My cheap private reg for my GTS

I've had MA55 GTS on my QP GTS since new. Occasionally civilians think its a 55 plate (it is 2008) but car people get it and I've been offered several times the sum the DVLA sold it for. MA54 GTS is on a black GTS local to me. I am surprised MA53 GTS is still available.

    Stainless Wheel Bolts

Sprogs, Somewhat belatedly I am posting to say thanks for a fantastic set of bolts for my QP Sport GTS. The quality is just amazing. Nick

Maserati QP/Gran Turismo 4.7 Front Brake Pad Set ( New)

Parisien, Very happy to do so. However it may be another nine months before the old set need to be changed. As you posted, the Maserati part number in the Eurospares link above is 980139070 and this was the part number on my Dealer service invoice when the front pads were changed. However the...

Maserati QP/Gran Turismo 4.7 Front Brake Pad Set ( New)

Thanks Parisien I had looked at Eurospares before posting but it doesn't list the 2008 4.2 GTS variant or the 4.7 GTS. However I've just checked the last Joe Macari service invoice involving front pads and it is indeed the same part number and I was charged £744.44 plus VAT = £893.28. Thank...

Maserati QP/Gran Turismo 4.7 Front Brake Pad Set ( New)

Will these also be a fit for the QP Sport GTS (4.2) 2008? Does anyone know? Thanks Nick

    Stainless Wheel Bolts

2008 QP Sport GTS 4.2 wheel bolts Does anyone know what size the wheel bolts for the QP Sport GTS are (front and rear)? I would love to order a set but can't take them off my car and send them in as this is my daily driver. Many thanks Nick

QP - GTS tyres... good news and bad news

Every tyre dealer will say they can get them - most if not all their stock ordering systems can't tell them whether the actual tyres in distribution are high or low treadwear rating - which is pretty important you would have thought - so beware. If you put them to the test its another matter...

QP - GTS tyres... good news and bad news

I've just had to fit a fourth set of Pirellis in 28,800 miles on my QP GTS (on the GTS 20" wheels). The first OEM set lasted 12,500 miles. The second set turned out to only be 160 treadwear rated (versus 220 on the OE) and lasted 7,000. Pirelli seem to have put a lot of these 160 tyres into the...
