…. And lose the concrete/tarmac to be replaced by that rubbery stuff. Best use for chopped up Pirellis maybe.

    Electric window issue

Permanent trickle charge used to put our Spyder in Apollo 13 mode - bare minimum functions. Normal operation resumed after a drive, then off and on. Long term trickle with some chargers slowly lowers battery voltage, I think. We now trickle 3 hours per day and no issues.

4200 Spyder Manual Roof Procedure and Adjustment

Looks like your roof is in an intermediate state. Have you tried fully opening the roof by hand and then closing it manually as described in the handbook? A glitch last week. Hood down and a sunny drive. Hood back up for rain and set off OK. Went to raise the windows but nothing. Held the...

    Sub post masters saga

Slight drift: Early this AM BBC R4 Open Country a fascinating prog about postal paths in Cumbria and countrywide rural areas. Postmen and women walked routes ~15 miles a day delivering mail and acting as a mobile post office. Well worth a listen to appreciate the service and high regard the...

    Sub post masters saga

Same here for ‘interesting’ tasks and large corporations. No hiding places….. which still beggars belief that this happened. There is an addendum to a court document which goes into detail about the s/w problems - dry but fascinating. Followed it from CW and Private Eye over the years and...

This may seem a sacrilege to spanner twirlers but we do use the other ends usefully - welded a few 17AF open ends to 19AF ratchets but loath to throw these (and more) in the scrap. Would anyone like some or all of them?

    4200 Spyder ABS Diagnostics

Ha, we make dozens of those for a shop in Avebury. Our local water engineers keep a pair in their vans - swear by them! That’s not the way to hold them, so I am told.

Chop off the roof of ours and maybe the value jumps by £200,000?

4200 Spyder Manual Roof Procedure and Adjustment

I had a similar problem when I propped the roof part open and all off for a couple of hours to service the spiral clamp motors on the solid cover. No response at all to switch after replaced parts. Solved it by manually fully closing the hood as per manual then all sprang to life as normal.

And this. Even if you don’t appreciate the workmanship it’s beautiful and I think a work of art.
