As I am in a car club, and take my car to various shows thought the year, She has to look her best.

So am in the process of taking off my wheel bolts and will be taking them to be Chromed.
Bit expensive at £12.50 each, but they were in a poor state, will do a before and after.

Make sure they are heat-treated immediately after plating, to avoid hydrogen embrittlement...

Apart from driving it, my phone also reminded me it’s been 3 years (and about 10k miles) since I went to collect it from Chester. Covid lockdown 3 I think, 2021. Feels like a lifetime ago. Getting close to a stick or twist decision on it but for the life of me I cannot think of anything I’d want to replace it with…

Picked it up from McGrath, bumping into an old friend - the very first Ghibli Cup I drove, for Modern Classics magazine ages ago.
It’s the ex Bernie Ecclestone car, and is on 170,000 miles. Picture from today and a BTS shot from the Modern Classics shoot.

The drive back in the torrential rain was probably the most stressful I’ve ever had. I’ve not gritted my teeth that hard since my raving days. Ahem.

Have been quite busy with one thing and another.

Collected my bolts and awaiting some better weather to replace, but will take my alloys off first and put a coat of polish on.

Managed to get my drivers seat forward, took out the motor could smell it was burnt out, ordered a new Porsche one at £162 sheesh! (Hope it fits)

Sent off a sample of leather from my arm rest to get a colour match leather dye, as my drivers seat needs redoing.

Will try and get my dash vents out tomorrow and de stick them!

So yes quite busy.

Finally got around to finding my @stindig footrest and Toole pedals.
IMG_6421.jpeg
Took the trim out that covers the foot rest
IMG_6420.jpeg
Popped out the rubber cover and drillled three 4mm holes
IMG_6419.jpeg
And then fixed it in place.
IMG_6422.jpeg
A small amount of marking, drilling and screwing later.
IMG_6423.jpeg
Everything was in place ready for adding my lovely new @Dman666 mats.

Whilst I completely realise the changes aren’t to everyone’s taste, they are essentially completely reversible and I’m thrilled with the difference it’s made to the car combined with the @stindig paddles.
