Best 'Live' LP's (yes LP's) for me are in order
Get your Ya Ya's Out. Rolling Stones (although heavily 'engineered' in the studio later)
Pack uo the Plantation. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Hot August Night. Neil Diamond (the first one at the Greek Theater not the second one which is cr*p)

Over the years in seeing some shows some have not lived up to expectations and some have been a pleasant surprise none more so than when my mate won tickets in the Cambridge Evening News to see John Mellencamp in the mid 80s at Wembley Arena. It was an excellent night.

Best "Live" albums

Seconds Out - Genesis
Alchemy - Dire Straits

But in both cases balance between sound quality and atmosphere is always a challenge

Halestorms from rest LP....with this song on....I get off.

Never heard to them but its excellent. My only criticism (yes, I had to find one) is the lead singer...

Yes, she can sing and yes she is stunning but I think thats it....she doesn't sort of look grundgy or cool enough to match the rest of the band or the style of music.

You just know she will wear a skinny dress and Jimmy Choos at the weekend...but them I am, like you a metal dinosaur still stuck in the 80's

I will educate you in the later stuff....This was the first LP. No one can sing a scream like Lzzy Hale. Go back a few pages and there are a few more videos.....Off to see them in London in September and can't wait.

She looks a bit different now as well as you can see from my avatar.

Just listened to Chris Rea's "On the Beach". Basically one of the soundtracks of the summers of my youth.....

I think this is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever, a rendition of Scottish ballad Tam Lin, slight nod to Fairport Convention but not much...
