15 plate Ghibli diesel service costs

JHM have a fixed price service menu - see https://www.jmhauto.co.uk/maserati-fixed-price-servicing-menu/ It's not a complicated engine per se, so no reason why you couldn't get a trusted local garage to look after it.

    Ghibli Diesel due a service

My idler pulley went suddenly and I had this and the aux belt replaced together. I think it might be an idea to do both unless you have a record of this being done in the past five years. Also, if you do a search for Ghibli service kit, there are a number of suppliers who sell these.

    Low Oil

Try 1L. Don't overfill when it comes to oil. The capacity is something like 7L so I'd guess 1-2L would suffice ? 5L would require really significant oil loss.

    Best battery

I used Tayna for my previous car, a BMW. Not replaced a battery in the Ghibli yet. A couple of YouTube videos suggest it is an easy DIY job on the Ghibli. The BMW required a code reader to pair the car to the new battery, but the Maserati looks like a simple replacement job.

I have used Tayna in the past, if you're OK to fit it yourself. https://www.tayna.co.uk/car-batteries/types/019-agm/

    Ghibli headlight ballast

That's the plan for next week. Even Eurospares list the ballast as an original Maserati part so I am hopeful of a cheaper fix than fitting two new headlights. I'll get the headlight out, get a part number and report back in a few days as to whether changing just the ballast has worked. I am...

    Ghibli headlight ballast

It's a 2014 diesel. The part I am looking at is like this one https://xenons4u.co.uk/130732932015-xenon-ballast-control-unit.html Maybe I'll need a headlight in the end but just to explore my options first. The ballast controls the power to the headlight and a faulty one can cause the bulbs to...

    Ghibli headlight ballast

I replaced a low beam headlight bulb a few months ago but within a couple of months, the bulb has stopped working. I suspect it may be due to the ballast as the bulb should work for a couple of years without a problem. It was flickering for a while and even now, it just about flickers when I...

    New Ghibli Diesel Owner

Miner's on 20" wheels (yours has 19s I think) and the ride around town is jittery. On a smooth road, it's very different and it's clearly a car built for the open road. That said I had 20s on an Alfa and it's more the quality of our roads than the car that's at fault.

    My new Ghibli

Serial Alfa owner here (156, 166 X 3, 159), and now a first time Maserati owner. Always wanted a Maser and needed a new family car. It's a diesel but genuinely pleased with how well it handles on an open road.

    Ghibli low beam headlight failure

My passenger side low beam headlight bulb started flickering over the period of a week or so. Eventually, it just failed so I had it replaced. A couple of weeks later, a message pops up to say that the same bulb has failed again. The replacement bulb is original and has a stated life of 2000+...

    Ghibli headlight bulb replacement

I think I know the answer to this, but my low beam headlight bulb has failed after flickering on and off periodically. The solution seems to involve removing the bumper. Is there a simpler way? Secondly, if I book this job in at an indy, any tips for preventative maintenance while the bumper is...

Considering a Ghibli diesel (2015). Any thoughts ?

These are good VFM but definitely too big for me, and also IMO not as elegant as the previous gen. The Ghibli itself feels/is wide and I can think of quite a few roads where I'd have to take more care. Plus the wife insists that any new car must fit on the drive !

Considering a Ghibli diesel (2015). Any thoughts ?

Thanks all for your comments to date. Much appreciated and I have some food for thought. I am still wrestling with the lack of spec. I called about two other Ghiblis but the service history was patchy. I am never convinced when the selling garage promises to do a service before the sale to bring...

Considering a Ghibli diesel (2015). Any thoughts ?

Hello All, I went to view a 2015 white Ghibli and am quite tempted. The condition of the car was excellent, with a full service history at Maser dealers and the most recent service at a Maser indy (full service and new front disks). The car has black leather, the bodywork and paintwork are in...

    Ghibli 3.0 petrol

I had a look at a Ghibli today. It was light on spec and probably isn't one that I am going to pursue. There were two small issues though that I wanted to ask about. The rear brake calipers were very rusty (pads and discs had been replaced in the last 18 months), and there was condensation in...
