Yes well mine is getting covered in dust and used as a cat bed..... havn't progressed much. Haven't sent ram details off to company who said they could make them. As regards the top canvas I have seen aftermarket ones advertised for about US$ 1,600 - as they are so expensive you can get one...

Clutch change on a CC - what else to do?

Make sure the torque tube bearing mod is done if it hasnt been. There is a TSB on it, basically quite crude, fit a new bearing, dot punch the housing and loctite it. Mine had been spinning in the housing. Clutch sensor is recommended to be changed also or was that mentioned.

4.2 Spyder Soft top - Major Problems

I'm pretty sure what has been glued to the ram is non standard, i had a brain wave and looked at the bottom ram on the lhs which throws the entire top over and the arrangement appears completely different. it is only a small switch instead of a full length pot. 4.2 Spyder Soft top - Major Problems

I don't know if anyone can help. The soft-top on my 4.2 spyder has never worked. The last owner told me it had lost the sequence. He has since left the country. I could not get the top to do anything, even could not get it to release. When it was the main agent for some work on a bad electrical...

Alternative parts, what everyone needs to know...

Catman Hmm. Think I binned the seized inserts. I am away for 2/3 weeks but next time I'm in Zarooni the local hardware emporium I will try to remember to look for them and take some pics. I think they were 8 mm fine threads inside. One of the machine shop ones has pulled our I think as it did...

Alternative parts, what everyone needs to know...

Not exactly an alternative part, but if you ever have to remove the rear spoiler that the exhausts go through you will probably find that the metal inserts come unscrewed with the countersunk torq screws it is fixed in with. I had some metal inserts made which didn’t work too well. After I...

    GS opening boot

On my 4.2 spyder there is a plastic trim around the lock and across the boot above the number plate. This also contains the rear no plates lights. There are three cross head screws whcih hold this on on to the boot on mine. They dont match so may not be standard. Remove screws and you can feed...
