Olympia Historic Automobile Fair & Auction

Not sure if this is anyone's cup of tea but my insurance company (Locktons) sent me an email to tell me that they've got a stall there and are offering their clients a discounted entrance. Use the code LOCKTON to get £5 off an advance entry ticket. http://olympiahistoric.com/features-content/

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/maserati/quattroporte/2006-maserati-quattroporte-vat-qualifying/6475564#&gid=1&pid=2 Looks a bit daft to me but each to their own...

    4C as a daily

Can any of the resident 4C owners comment on having it as a daily. Looking at the 2nd hand market, they all seem to have low low miles which makes me think that they're weekend cars but if I was going to spend £40k+, I'd want it to be a daily.

    Merak project anyone?

http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C812795 I'm not mechanically inclined, so wouldn't have a clue where/how to start a project like restoring this Merak but out of curiosity (and stupidity), I contacted the seller and it can be had for £15k. If it took £40k to bring up to pristine, it'd owe...

    What would you do?

Hypothetical question. Let's say you've got a nice GS, which you really like, but you start hankering after something different. Let's say that if you sell your GS, you'd have around £50/60k to shell out on a car. At this price point, my options would be: 1) a GT, definitely an MC-Shift or...

    Keenly priced Med Blu GS

Surprised no one has posted on this yet. Looks very nice and I rather like the colour combo. Well specced too for a non LE. And very keenly priced when compared to other GS's on sale at the moment. Should hang around too long I reckon...

Mouse in Mi Maserati, what am I gonna do?

I'm gonna fix that mouse, that's what I'm gonna do! Cracking day yesterday, so decided to take the car out. Opened the boot to turn the battery back on and I find my daughters blanket completely shredded. Not sure how the mice got in, but it looks like they are living in the rear passenger...

    Passenger seat problems

So, I've had my first issue... The passenger seat has developed a wee problem. The height and lumbar works, just now refuses to move backwards/forwards. I've tried the "turn off battery, turn on again, move the seat backwards and forwards etc" but to no avail. It was working fine right up...

    What are you watching?

Thought I'd kick this one off. Basically, what have you seen on the TV or film that you think is pretty decent and worth recommending. TV wise, I'm on Hannibal (season 3) and The Strain (season 2). Hannibal is immense, dark and twisted and how Hannibal should have been in the Hollywood films...

    Northamptonshire owners meet?

Now that I've finally got myself a car, all I want to do is find an excuse to drive it and meet up with other owners. I know there are a few of us in the Northamptonshire/Bucks area, would be good to meet up. Open to suggestions re dates, places etc.

    Wanted: GS

Finally got my budget sorted out. Got about £25k to play with. Looking for a GS. Will consider any colour apart from Grigio Touring but looking for a Nuvolari, Alfieri or any of the blues in particular. Must have xenons. Can compromise with techno cloth interior and lack of heated seats...

    Gransport must have options....

Hi guys Me again, asking silly questions. Who'd of thought buying a Gransport would be such a headache. There aren't many about for a start and then the ones that are in my price range have varying levels of options. I've found a couple that I'm very keen on but as mentioned, have different...

How can I find out year of manufacture?

So, reckon I've found a car I'd like to buy. But I'm just holding back until I clarify a thing or two. The car in question is an MY04. It states this in the service book, on the V5 and HR Owen have also confirmed that it's an MY04. However, having spoken with the Indie who has serviced the...

4200 or 4.2 Granturismo as first Maserati??

Afternoon So...after much trawling the internet and trying to explain to the wife that it's a good idea, I still haven't bought my first Maser. Was quite naive when I started my search, thinking that I could pick up a decent 4200 for £16k. Having spoken to Dicky, it makes sense for me to up...

3 reasons why I now dislike Richard Grace

So, I called him the other day (as seems to be the general recommendation on here) and: 1) He has this car up for sale. Which I now cannot stop thinking about: 2) He, inadvertently I should add, convinced me that I should buy it from him because it really is the dog ********; & 3)...

Am I foolish for considering this 4200 CC as my first Maserati?

Hi Guys Firstly, I'm a newbie here (and a Maserati newbie) but have been lurking for a year or so. Secondly, guess I'm after some advice etc from the experienced Maserati owners. I've been looking at this 2003/53 4200 CC (the dealer is selling it on behalf of someone else)...
