Dashboard full of warning lights finally fixed - hopefully...

I’d been through the “new battery” and “trickle charger” method, waiting until all warning lights going off before starting etc etc, but the car finally let me know what the issue was by triggering the ABS whilst coming up to a red traffic light at about 15mph. Lots of noise from control unit...

    Warning lights - continuing saga.

So I’ve been having the “dashboard full of warning lights issue” for a while. Battery replaced, alternator is fine, kept on a trickle charger. What happens is that all runs fine, temperature 85° when in motion, then get say into a stationary queue. Temp goes up to 90°, fans come on, stays static...

No ABS, no ESC, no suspension, end of the world etc warning lights....

Thanks everyone. Someone else mentioned not turning the engine over until about 10 seconds have passed after switching on. So far, this seems to be working. The “taking it off the charger the night before” Id simple enough so I’ll do this too. Hopefully it’ll behave itself now. If not, I’ve got...

No ABS, no ESC, no suspension, end of the world etc warning lights....

Ok, so I keep getting the well-known dash full of warning lights as above. The alternator is OK according to the main dealer who checked it, I’ve just had a new battery fitted, and the car is kept on a CTEK charger which is wired direct to the battery. Any ideas?

    Broken coil spring

Just had the exact same sequence of events on my 2013 GTS. Most irritating. Hopefully the MoT test centre will be able to fix it. Good info on the cost of spring.

    Cracked Pirelli Corsa

I had exactly the same. Pirelli paid for new tyres, after many weeks of presumably assessing them. There was a bit of shenanigans because one is supposed to return faulty ones to the supplying dealer, but they are in Leeds and I am in London, but we eventually got over that hurdle.

2018 Maserati Granturismo revealed at NYSE

I won't be changing my 2013 GT Sport any time soon then. I know looks are a subjective/ personal taste thing, but I honestly believe they've lost the magic of the original, and mine. Of course one has to see it in the flesh, but at the moment I'm content that I've got the better looking car.

Manual Conversion/V12/Twin Turbo for the Granturismo?

Wouldn't a simpler solution be to transplant one of the other F136 engines in? The F136FB from the 458 makes 562bhp, and I assume would be an easier fit than a V12. I've no doubt all sorts of electronics etc would need fiddling, but it's the same basic engine. It wouldn't sound as good of course...

    VIN Number - help please

I downloaded the Maserati service app from the Apple App Store today. When it asked for my VIN, it doesn't recognise it. Checked it and re-entered it eleventy hundred times, no joy. So then I tried it on a web VIN decoder. Recognises it's a Maserati, but no other details. The car is a 2013 GT...

Launch control on GT Sport Auto

The first reply referenced the semi-auto. Mine is the torque converter auto - just wondered what the difference would be compared to just flooring it from rest.

So - we have new boots. Fitter has to fax complaint sheet to Pirelli, who then take the offending pair away for testing. What I'm thinking is that they must have been completely duff. I've only driven about 50 miles on the new set, but turn in is noticeably sharper, and the front end seems more...

Help please - tyre cracks - advice.

So - Pirelli to their credit have replied very promptly. Sabrina wants me to replace the tyres myself, which will then get sent back to Pirelli for examination and a decision on next steps, normally within 10 days. I guess this could go a number of ways. I'll keep this thread updated with any...
