I'll agree with the others that it was the colour (plus a bit of madness) that made me by mine - but mine had to be a Spyder. GLWS

Probably the button on the keys PCB board. I can fix that while you wait….assuming both keys do the same or I suppose it’s possible both keys have the same fault.

You can confirm it by taking the blue cover off MAKING SURE THE BLACK CHIP DOES NOT FALL OUT. And short the button solder points with a bit of wire.

Thanks @conaero
Meridien Modena looked into it on behalf of a previous owner. Key fob will disarm the alarm, but not unlock it, it will however lock and arm the alarm.

Does it happen with both key fobs?

I had a similar problem with mine but almost the complete opposite. Both key fobs would lock and unlock the car and arm the alarm, but it wouldn't disarm the alarm on unlocking. It was a bit embarrassing and annoying driving around with the alarm sounding, but a trip to Lancaster's and a new alarm module fixed it for me. Hope you get it sorted soon.

It's on my never ending list. Will my list ever be fully ticked off....?

I think we all know the answer to that lol

Still for sale… not even a phone call ‍♂️

Having seen the Autotrader ad, I would consider swapping the first two images which are screenshots for actual photos of the car - it doesn't give the best first impression when landing on the page.

I am currently in the market for one (probably a later one or GS) and when it comes to ads, the more photos there are the higher the chance of me getting in touch with a seller. Only 6 photos is going to hinder interest, so it's definitely worth adding a few more (back of the car, interior, close up exterior, etc.) to help highlight some of the specs it has as well as its overall condition.

Hopefully my 2-cent worth from a prospective buyer is helpful and best of luck with the sale!

If there's no interest the price is too high , it's a buyers market for summer toys , lots for sale , not many buyers , loads of classics that were selling hand over fist a couple of years ago are going through classic auctions unsold because the owners still want top money.

Of all the 4200s on ebay these are the only two that've sold and even then you don't even know if the buyers paid

I don't think the first of those actually sold as, when I look at the old liat, it just say "ended" now, not sold.

Somehow you've quoted something i didn't write

It looks to me like a dick clicked buy it now with no intention of ever paying , he's probably still giggling as his mum dishes out the beans on toast

Re listed but no sale , they're a hard sell privately unless they're REALLY cheap

@Scott33b I looked up the reg on the photos but it does't return any info to look up the MOT history

Is it still registered on a private plate? If so, do you mind sharing it?
