3200 GT acceleration after ETB replacement

Hello there, I've just installed the Magnetti-Marelli ETB on my 2000's 3200 GT after contacts were briliantly suppressed by The Maseratished.
I did a test after that and it seems to me that the car does not accelerate so violently as before. The car precisely idles at 1 000 RPM, the turbos are working fine, no CEL, no "hole" on acceleration, but the car isn't anymore the hair-trigger I've known. Any idea ?

Did you do the throttle reset procedure? Ignition on but not started leave for at least 2 mins. Switch off. Switch ignition on again and press throttle fully for 5 secs release pedal and switch off.
Remember though that unless you use wide open throttle from time to time the car will start narrowing the band the pedal works at so that could have given you the sense of hair trigger throttle.

I would repeat the throttle reset procedure a few times and also extend the times a bit, I normally go for about 12 seconds on full throttle and also 2 minutes and 10 seconds or so on idle. The only other thought I have is perhaps your car is working properly now? are you under the impression it is slower or just lest jerky?

I have had a new tb on my early 2000 manual 3200 and l do think it is smoother than before perhaps later 2001 cars did have updates to smooth the throttle perhaps the electronics in the tb was updated and replacement parts have this upgrade.

And don't forget every time you turn the battery off on a 3200 the engine ECU needs to relearn!
