As previously mentioned it is driven via the ecu, I think, not a low oil pressure switch. Here is what the WSM says about sender and instrument. Seems like low pressure warning can be calibrated/adjusted. Wonder how ? The resistance is also different between the sender unit and instrument gauge. And like Allan said warning light is rpm related.

Anyone ever try this? Or recommend others? I replaced mine with a David Askew one a few years back but think this might be on the way out now - had been happy with it.I've read that FAE 14030 is compatible with 3200's.
Would try one of these first, there has been a flurry of these on the market lately. Is this unit any better than the OEM one though? I realise its cheaper but if its similar in mechanics then will have the same problems? Mine has gone yet again, only had this one a couple of years. If there is a better alternative I'd be keen to try it out!
Anyone tried this guy? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/186141051883
