The last one for me Andy, that Dolomite gold is to die for, main dealer serviced and low mileage to plus it's an auto, what's not to like!

The only issue is a 4 year service gap, that's not good, but for the money.....

Autotrader: the blue one is very cheap but not much info on it, the grey one is a finance repossession (not necessarily a problem) but needs tlc and it says the mileage is verified through VOSA MOT check which infers it is missing its service history, and the others are green (again, not necessarly a problem, but a bit less desireable).

Ebay: looks ok and low mielage but would be hard to re-sell in gold, and has a 4 year gap in service history.

Pistonheads: this one sounds far and away the best to me - later 2001 car, with good service history (10 stamps rather than the few services people some times try to pass off as FSH), and lots spent incl throttlebody, throttle pot, rad, cambellts etc. Budget tyres but that's the only obvious downside I can see from the advert. No mention of camchains though, which would be a good negotiation point. Looks clean and sounds well cared for....least likely to be a money pit I'd say.

Nig, the Kuhmo tyres are not budget, well, upper middle, I believe they are Mercedes OEM fitment now (according to my tyre guy).

Oh, and I have them fitted to the front of the Alfa too, very good.

All in all a very nice car.

Ah - they used to be when I was a nipper, but must've come on in the last few years! Pretty good to get the car with new tyres all round anyway. I think this car sounds great value if it could be bought sub £10k.

Never was brave enough to buy a well cared for 3200 let alone a cheap one with a chequered history. As much as I love them I would go for the 4200 just for more peace of mind

Thank you Andy !!!

Pleasure....

Looking at the side profile of the Gold one I may have to change my mind...It does look good in that picture...........That car must be worth a look if you are in the market...Its ended with no bids......
