Finally made it to The Motorist in Sherburn in Elmet today for their regular cars & coffee and discovered they have a dedicated Italian event in a couple of weeks.

Will aim to make it if the weather looks kind that weekend.

Isn't that the usual biker haunt? Seem to remember going to Sherbert in Helmet in the early 90s...I'll add it to the list...

I saw that but am waiting for something else to be confirmed so probably can't go unfortunately. I get there fairly regularly so might be worth seeing if we can organise a meet up?

No - somewhere different. You are thinking about Squires cafe which is the biker's place. the Motorist is on the other side of Sherburn.

Squires Cafe, that was it, time and alcohol makes it all memories fuzzy...

It's a good venue, next to the Sherburn Aero Club to the east of the town. Financed by a local businessman with an interest in motoring and especially classics, it's still under development but plenty going on. They got a large turn out at the Collecting Cars event I attended a couple of weeks ago, the place awash with porkers and B**s but a few Italians to lift the spirits. I'd be up for the 26th but got a first dose of chemo on the 24th so that probably rules it out which is a pity.
