Advice needed on pre-existing fault on vehicle

So I finally spoke to the dealer and he has kindly agreed to replace the gasket with the caveat that I also put down a contribution towards it as well (about a third of the cost)- the rationale being that I am getting a new one on a used car (go figure). I think that's the best I'm gonna get from him to be honest. Apparently it's about 600 quid for parts and labour! On the other items, I am trying to get them resolved at the same time while the car is in, and I feel it is going to be another uphill struggle, but this is a small win at least, and so far it has been fairly amicable. However I won't give up until everything I want fixed gets done...

I am pleased to report that I am picking up my car again after being 2 weeks in the garage! the dealer came through in the end and agreed to get all the work done that I wanted with the proviso that I also contribute something towards the cost. I hope it's now all okay. The only thing concerning me is the creaking coming from the rear suspension at low speeds/bumps but I am having that investigated and shall hear back on that soon

I'm glad to hear the good news and you will soon be able to enjoy the car again, it must have been a long 2 weeks

Good it worked out for you.
Creaking is most likely the bushes in the suspension arms

Rear lower wishbones are prone to the wear of their integral ball joint. This needs to be checked as a MOT may not notice this. The wear is driven by the torque. Check for forward and aft movement with a crow bar. The parts are £1800 inc VAT from Maserati

Oh dear, now you've got me really worried! Not sure if this would be something a standard warranty covers? I've only had the car 8 weeks of which 4 weeks it's been in the garage- last thing I need is another thing going wrong...! Others on here reporting similar but doesn't seem to be anything major and something most just seem to live with

Spoke too soon- no car this weekend :( still in the bloody garage waiting for another part apparently, was misinformed... Gorgeous weather too for a drive. Sod's law that it rains when I get it back next week! The wait is so painful

Had the dealer check it out and says nothing to worry about...its likely the bushes but he thinks no need to worry until they start to creak really loudly- mine only squeaks quietly sometimes and is barely noticeable to people (but I know it's there)

But you have the car back now I assume and everything else got sorted out to your satisfaction?

Picked up the car, but the colour match on some paintwork (jet wash cover) was completely wrong and sticks out like a sore thumb, so needs to go back in to rectify...think I'll live with it until the weather gets worse, I want to use my car for what's left of summer! Can't catch a break...
