I doubt Alfa turn much of a profit on the 4C, but we should be tip our cap to them for at least trying to re-ignite the sporting aspect of the marque. And it's a half-decent first effort.

+1 Agree with above. It is a good effort.

Agree with you on that...The world would be a duller place without it.......................Is it not more than half decent though...Would expect it to be bloody brilliant for 50k........If they offered the Spider lights for yours would you change them..

The interior is deliberately minimal and low-rent, just like (to a slightly lesser extent) an MC Stradale. It's not Alfa being tight, it's all in the name of saving weight. Bare carbon fibre is everywhere.

The seats are comfortable, which is really all that matters as when you are driving a performance car you aren't spending an awful lot of time looking around the interior.

Anyway, don't be fooled by the 4C, it's for the most part a track car that just happens to look like something that would be nice to cruise in on a summer's day.

Pat..re interior, i believe it should be made with a little bit higher valued products. Agree it's a track oriented car, but it's not a Lotus..it's an Alfa. Please take the time to look at a Mito's interior, and you'll see how similar they are.

The 4C interior is horrible. In actual fact, there isn't an interior. It's the raw carbon bucket, with a few switches. It's not that it's a poor effort from Alfa. They've made no effort.

I assume it is deliberate and something to do with saving weight.

Yeah, I would have the US lights in a heartbeat. I did ask when I picked the car up if they could fit them, but didn't get an answer.

Ref. expectations of the 4C being brilliant for 50K, I'll reiterate that it's a good first effort at a reasonable price.

I think people should focus value for money questions on other group cars such as the MC Stradale. When I see dealerships selling them for 140K, I wonder how that is justified. Don't get me wrong, I love its looks and sound, but I really don't understand how they can cost so much when there is so little new technology in them. And I don't get how its performance never improves over each revision.

Can't disagree.

MS, I love the 4C so don't get me wrong and would love to have one but for me a good first effort is not good enough for a car costing 50k.......Some reviews have been tepid but some have been really good....Until you drive one I suppose you really couldn't comment on the drive and only a very few lucky owners will be able to answer that.
