Some reviewers are saying with its V6 and side view it is very MC20. Wonder if the V6 is the same or the Alfa/Ferrari one.
So Alfa Romeo was probably vague on purpose - they say that the V6 is a further development of the Giulia 2.9 V6 QV engine. The 3.0 Maserati Nettuno is also a further development of that engine (different heads), so given that they used the MC20 gearbox and also chassis/subframes, the bets are on that it is also the Nettuno V6…admittedly with Alfa Romeo/Ferrari origins.

I’ll start saving. Got to pay a fairly lumpy mortgage off next month then I have the green light to basically buy what I want. 720S is still up there too.

I can fully understand why you would want a 720S Matt they are epic. I have never had the pleasure of driving one but was lucky enough to have a passenger ride and it was without a doubt the fastest car I have ever been in. They look amazing and not sure for the the money you could go quicker. So much drama it is hard not to fall in love with a 720s.

That was quick and the cheapest MC20 is now £157k so could be at you level quicker than I thought. Exciting times Matt.

If I didn’t own a workshop that can fix it I wouldn’t go there but as you say, epic but flawed. Drove Krishna’s Spider it was a thing of beauty.

That does help Matt having your own garage. What ever you get if you are even my way I expect a visit and I provide lunch and drinks . ;):)

Thanks for sharing Phil. Really enjoyed watching that. I do agree with the chap the rear is probably the least successful angle but it is a lovely thing. There are some exquisite detail. Love the 3d Alfa grill. Good to hear some of the detail will find its way onto future road cars like the bonnet creases. I still think the MC20 looks better as it is less fussy at the rear but as said a lovely looking thing.

It has some great lines but it is a prototype for the road where as the MC20 is a road car and has to be less compromised, personally I wouldn't want to own either at those price points there are much more interesting stuff in my eyes which lie me would probably be older and slower
