:conf:

Hi all , Just got in the car after work & all the dash warding lights lit up like a christmas tree..? This was accompanied by the warning in the info display "Electrical System Faliure go to dealer"

The Car Drove fine, but the whole dash board stayed lit up, the Rev Counter & Speedo didint work though...

Once home I left the car for while then went & tried it again... Pleased to say all was back to normal.

Has anyone experienced this symptom before?

Cheers all & See you at Stanford Hall !

Dave, it's called 'Italian character'. They do things like this from time to time to keep us on our toes. If she doesn't do it again, don't worry about it. If it gets more frequent get professional help and start drinking, heavily!

Guess we can exchange stories Sunday :)

If you want a safe boring plain Jane buy an Audi or Merc - a beautiful and passionate woman needs some extra tlc and attention but is always worth it.
Apologies if the above is a bit ****** but hopefully you get my meaning....

Had a similar thing which I reported here a while back. All the lights and the electrical system fault but with mine the gear indicator on the central LCD had a dash. Car would start but not select a gear so couldn't go anywhere. Disconnected the battery / reconnected and all was fine. I now always have a 13mm socket wrench in by boot to make disconnecting fast. There was paint on the connector on my car which was producing a bad earth. Since cleaning it up no problems.

Full write up here;

Jumped in my 2007 granturismo after only 15 minutes in Waitrose with my good wife,turned the key and was met with several lights,only first gear available and the engine controlling its own revs.Stopped the engine and restarted with no problems.It`s all part of the excitement.

Same old same old, ecu reset via the battery disconnect.

So when I finally get my GTS the first mod I'll be doing is fitting a battery isolator then!

If anyone does this can you do a how to write up please. We need to start bolstering our GT side of the forum as alot of members on here will no doubt be making the progression to them from the coupes soon.

Guys, do you still go through the same routine of turning key until only 2 lights left on then final ignition turn...or is it different in GT?
