Maybe to follow the Lexus/Infiniti trend in the showrooms, with Alpine as the luxury/sports offerings?

Strange for me why not just call it Renault Alpine F1 ?

Think they will to begin with Phil. Or at least that's what was said on the F1 channel. This is just a name though as its the same team from what they said. Trying to give Renaults performance brand a push probably.

Just another marketing exercise nothing else seems to change, it will be interesting to see what happens at Williams they need some manufacturer involvement to remain in the game even if they have extra funds for a short while

This is good for the Alpine brand hopefully it will be a positive influence on their sales figures as recent news has not been so great

I really like the Alpine and it's a great car but I think price wise people will go else where. Shame really.

Me too, I think its priced about right but for the same money you could have a Cayman or Alfa 4C both stiff competition

Agreed, a lovely car but for the UK market, the Top Gear catching on fire incident didn't do it any favours either

I had a good look around a couple, tempting. Top gear incident didn't have any bearing really. When were they last about cars? Lol

The Renault engine is coming along nicely in F1.

So what’s our thoughts on Mclaren switching to Mercedes? I feel they should stick with Renault personally...they always get a winning engine in the end and it’s nearly there I feel.

I'm surprised by the speed of the McLaren yesterday they were near the top on all sessions at Monza, I thought that the Red bull and Racing Point would be top. Mercedes were as always a country mile ahead till the rule book changed.
