Amazon basics lightening lead

In less than 4 months, both have resulted in flames and smoke.
First one I dismissed as possible damage, but the second one went up in smoke (literally) last night.

Call to Amazon immediate full refund there and then.

Should be withdrawn and recalled in my opinion.

Oh that's poor. I was expecting an Amazon Market item.

Oddly I bought a couple of long leads for Mrs C when she was in hospital a couple of years back. Thread bound. Best ones I ever have. Been in use every day and no sign of wear at all

Lightning leads have just been a disaster, including OEM.
Had plenty that have simply stopped working, without the fire and smoke unlike these.
Never had a problem with USB C leads.
The answer I guess to boycott Apple products!

Received email confirming full credit, reason for refund... item not received...
Guess they don't want to admit the failure...
