How about meeting up or having a presence at a show? Thinking the Airshow or Wings and Wheels at East Fortune. Or perhaps the one at Thirlstane Castle or Paxton House. Never really done this before!

Sounds ok, pick one. If you build it, they will come ( if they’ve got nothing else on that day ).

Well, I think this is the best (well, only!) idea at the moment.
Can you post dates for these shows and we'll see who's available and take it from there?

We might be a bit late for asking for a stand at a show.

Well, here we go!
Haddington Show (East Lothian) 2 June. Not been to this one.
Thirlstane Show (Lauder) 3 June Great show but probably too late to get a stand.
Tayside Show (Errol) 10 June. Not been to this one.
Paxton House (Berwick Upon Tweed) 24 June. Lovely setting. Small show but great fun for family.
Grampian Autofest (Alford, Aberdeenshire) 1 July. Great roads and countryside, great museum.
East Fortune Airshow. North Berwick. 28 July. Great looking show this year. Not sure how to get a stand etc.
Biggar Rally(Borders) 12 August. Big show - always rains!
Wings and Wheels, East Fortune. Some clubs represented. Can be a bit hit or miss.

I have attended many of these shows and never seen Maserati represented. Might be a bit of fun, you never know!!!

Oh, I had that in my diary as a Mini show and was planning to go anyway (as in small cars, the Italian Job, etc.)
Looks like it's a car show organised by ELMOC (Edinburgh and Lothian Mini Owners Club) perhaps?

Tayside Show (Errol) 10 June. Not been to this one.

I go to this most years, as a spectator, never displayed at it. It's on a Sunday morning and right next to a Car Boot Sale I frequent, and <10 miles form my door.
It was cancelled last year due weather and the field being a washout!
It's ok, not a huge show, and tends to be more classic normal cars, Fords etc rather than sports cars, perhaps the odd Porsche and a couple of Lotus. 2 years back, it was spot the 280 Capri. I think there were 7!

Either way, I'm currently up for any of the above, except the one where it rains ;)

Inverness a hit or miss, tried last year to get the two Stewart's and myself in same zone......ended up offering 3 different areas! Numpty organisers with no interest in cars.
Not a fan of motormania, pack the cars in too tight for my liking.
Although I'm unlikely to make any shows this year I would suggest something more centrally based to suit easier travel for the Scottish central belt softies ;)

Last post on this for obvious reasons..... I have no working maser :(
Ok, can I suggest the erskine show at braehead? Indoors arena, for a really good charity ( armed forces casualties) cause and I'm sure Lee and other organisers at tartan Tarmac ( apologies to forum for alternative forum plug) would be happy to oblige with maser zone.
Last Saturday in July so fair chance good Scottish weather too to make a good weekend of it ? ;)

I've been known to enjoy a shandy on occasion
I do draw the line at Pimms though.

Call yourself a Yorkshireman - f*** me! ;)

Yeah I know, lowered my standards to accommodate the wife.

I'm happy to support the forces one if someone from oop really far north wants to sort it. We will have a weekend away in Scotland, provided I can get all my inoculations.

That would give me time to get my car back on the road too!! sounds like a plan to me! And in aid of a good cause it all works

Maybe we could organise a run the day before or after for any one who is keen!

Whats up with Marcie?
