Anyone running Bridgestone tyres on a 20" wheel?

Ive been in touch with Bridgestone, sent some photos and their reply is that their 285x30x20 is a generic tyre, I should use manufacturer specific tyres, 285 is too narrow for a 10.5j rim and that I should just buy new tyres...

so just wondering if anyone else is running bridgestone 285x30x20's and if they are, do they look as silly as mine?!

I've got 285's on the back of mine. Can't recall what and no idea what the width is on the GT but they are fine.
