Just got a mail from Phil Ward to confirm a spot for me on the parade laps for this one. not sure if there is a thread anywhere for this even already?

The have moved this from Supercar Sunday to Supercar Saturday as there was a cycle race/event on the Sunday I believe. They have saved us an SM spot for this event so I said to Phil I would pop a post up to make people aware of the event.

So far attendees are:

I emailed Phil a couple of weeks ago requesting to get me on the parade lap. No response yet. Will re-send. He does eventually respond.

Usually Phil responds promptly, but I myself have not received any responds for the last 4 weeks, I may have to call him...

I got an email with all instructions yesterday. He said he will get back to confirm about the on track lap later.

There definitely should be more of us coming? Is everyone away? Looks like great weather and good day out.

I have been for the past few years and I said that I would avoid "brookie" this year as the format has got a little boring, that said I am tempted but I need to take off the front bumper on the maser as I want to have all the work done on it before Festival Italia... so despite never being in I am also out lol.

What is it with this weather?
Had planned to try out new wax and polish after a thorough clean tonight and it's raining like 5 drops every 10 minutes.
Looks like plan b - wake up early tomorrow and get it done before set off.
I plan to be there at 8:30 if all goes to plan.
Please don't forget helmets if going on track and also for any passengers you may have.
See you all there.

Whomever had the QP on the track today with a number of passengers, congratulations your car sounds epic! I don't know how but you've made it sound like a high pitched V12. Sounded really good

Thanks! That is my QP. It's on a full Larini setup. Does sound exciting at all speeds. And is suitably loud.
Would have been great to meet a few folks but did not see or recognise anyone. Met the owner of a 3200 parked next to me who seemed very happy with his car.
Only 4 Maseratii lined up and a couple others parked away from us.
But a great day out nonetheless. Weather was superb and the turnout substantial.
The organising of this event has improved massively since the last time I attended two years ago!
I have got the missus to upload a video of the laps on sportsmaserati Facebook page.

Hi Sommi. Yes it is very loud indeed! I was stood in the grounds where you guys were all parked up before you drove into Merc World, and when you went past Concorde and revved it my 5yo boy jumped out his skin. Was brilliant!
