Cheers Catman.

I’ll report back on the denso ones

I had some Denso ones and had to modify them quite badly to make them fit. Can't remember the name of the place I got them from, but they were advertised heavily on here. Used to do lots of oil offers. They *were* marked as a alternate for the GT but they were not a like for like

MarkMas, I think, did a bit of a tutorial on fixing an alternative wiper - Eb

Not me, but rd993. My plan was to get Eb to do it for me!

Hi
HR Owen kindly offered me new wipers for £185 for the QP V 2010

What should I buy? Do I go for just the new rubber or is there another alternative?

Steve
Hi Steve just ordering some bits from Scuderia and I see they do the rubbers (I assume) and call them pilot and passenger brushes. £39 (62764800) and £14 (66981000) respectively. Plus vat I suppose. I these are correct and if you want to jump on the back of my order let me know.

Just got Halfords to do my (2009 QP) wipers for £34.

We used these excellent instructions: http://www.sportsmaserati.com/index.php?threads/windscreen-wipers.21289/page-3#post-594593

The guy was all "I don't need no stinkin' instructions", but then found them useful when he was struggling! (Key thing, for the driver's side, is to take the clip off the blade, half fit the clip onto the arm and THEN re-fit the blade, before sliding it the rest of the way onto the arm.)

He wanted to use the Bosch AR ones, but in the end he said they would not fit, so we went with SP. SP26 and SP18.

Seems fine so far. Good to know there are some bargain Maserati parts.

Edited for typo (2009 not 2019).

Look, this is easy. Just buy a pair of cut to length REFILLS Make sure you buy long enough ones and slide old ones out and new ones in. Just check first that you buy the correct WIDTH of refill as there are 6.5mm wide and 8.5mm wide types.
This way you keep originality of wipers.

At rest, the 26 and 17" are about half an inch apart. Ill just replace like for like as I know they work and I don't want to risk clashing.

Sounds fair.

If I recall, I'll measure mine tonight. Maybe I misread 16 for 19 but pretty sure I didn't....

Edited for typo (2009 not 2019).

Yesterday, on the way to Orchard/Ace, the wiper blade on the driver's side bent and started flapping around and then scratching (slightly) the windscreen.

Looks like the blade caught under the other one, and got bent when it tried to do the upstroke. The blade was always a little loose in the arm, and had some lateral movement, and I think it just got shifted over to the left a little too far.

I bent it back a bit to carry on in the rain, but then went to Halfords and got new ones. This time I got a Bosch SP24, not SP26, to make sure it doesn't happen again.
