Folks,

Anyone got a recommendation for buying a spray can + lacquer against a paint code?

Lots come up when searching but just seeing if there’s a recommended site?

Cheers

Pity Maserati didn’t do spray cans and touch-up pens in their various colours, make things so much easier.

I've bought a touch-up pen off this company before. They do spray can form as well.

Can't complain about the colour match, but my GT is black, so probably difficult to see if the colour match isn't 100%

Thanks grantoo. I’m Bianco Eldorado (white’ish) which I know it tricky but I have a picture of the correct paint swatch / code.

Gonna have a bash doing my own parking sensors. If it turns out a load of shite I’ve only wasted a few quid

Definitely worth a shot doing it yourself. I think the spray can's cost £15. Cheaper than a few pints these days !

I have just ordered some cans of spray paint form these guys - not used it yet but they were good to deal with.

Small sensors would probably be OK, but for larger needs I would probably have the paint scanned especially Nero Carbonio that has two different metallic colours depending on age. Whites can also change when sprayed on plastics compared to metals.

I have always used this company for all my rattles and larger spray job literage. They used to have a local shop in Northampton, but are now in Bedford. Not used in a while.

I used a car motor factors/parts/spray supplier in Luton last time I did any spray work. I just told them the paint code and they mixed up a few.cans to order. So got the primer, base and lacquer mixed up to order. They supplied a stack of misc stuff I needed for the job too.

Worked really well as was quite a large area on both sides of a car. Looked really good and a perfect match. My eyes aren't as.good as they used to be mind

I suspect this would be fine for parking sensors.

Thanks everyone going to get some ordered up. Assume I just go for paint then lacquer?

I've bought x4 of the non Maserati sensors which wasn't expensive at all. If I manage to pull off the paint job ok then will have a bash fitting one. Had my codes read a week back and it confirmed the sensor I suspected as being at fault. Been quoted a very high price for changing one. I never shy away from maintenance etc that's required at all, quite the opposite, but on this occasion I'm like surely I can pull this off!

Wish me luck
