Choices choices.. the end of ICE

Hi All,

I wanted to start a topic and hear you out in regards to what can be a future iconic car after the end of the Internal Combustion Engines.

So, I want to buy one car that I will keep "forever" and it has to be a choice that will have the potential to be a future icon. I am not really the Lambo guy and a new Ferrari, the likes of 812 would have been too expensive (I don't want the car to be hybrid) for the production numbers that they do. At some point perhaps I will go for a 355.

I will not lie, Maserati, is my brand to go and another option could have been the 992, which although is a massively produced car and not exclusive at all, the fact that you can get the GT3 on manual is a big plus.

Back to the Maserati option, the obvious choice could have been the MC20 which most probably will go down in history as the fastest ICE Maserati ever produced (I checked and it is faster than the MC12 on track), however having this conversation with the owner of the Greek dealership he made a point, that if I am about to buy the car for my collection, the Granturismo Modena on a highly spec (Fuoriserie) is the one, since this is the type of car that Maserati was always producing (2+2), he insisted on Modena because as he said correctly, what you wish, is not track day performance on a 2+2 but luxury and comfort instead. Plus with the price difference from a MC20 I could get my self another classic Maserati, the likes of Merak.

The major let down on Granturismo is the devaluation which most probably will be huge, however since MC20 will not be limited, I expect the same thing to happen with that as well. We are always talking about a new car since I want to spec it as I wish.

I am just creating the thread for the sake of the conversation and happy to hear opinions and get some help in order to make my decision, in any case, any car recommended shouldn't be much more expensive than the MC20, I would never spend more money on a car.

It is not a decision to be made this month and I will have to wait and have a look at the special / limited editions of any given car, I already saw the Cielo Primaserie and OMG, what a beautiful car (here in Greece the price of it, including taxes is ~400k).

Best

I would recon a V12 Lambo as in Aventador would be a good shout. I mean, an electric Lambo…I very much dont think so.
