DAB upgrade?

Hi all, I have a 2015 Ghibli with the CTP16 infotainment system. Is it possible to upgrade this to have DAB without changing the hardware? If not, what alternatives are there other than ripping out the OEM infotainment system and putting some aftermarket unit in the dash? Will the Ghibli dash even take an aftermarket unit?

Edit: At the moment I'm streaming over my phone using 4/5G and using the Bluetooth connection which is very flaky and also you have to pull over to change channel.

I have DAB in my 14 and it's rubbish. I can imagine an aftermarket solution would be better if it's that important to you.

Thanks, in what way? Just poor reception? I'm in Malta and you can get UK channels on DAB (like LBC and talksport) that you can't get on FM.

Terrible reception across most of the UK IME. However, if it's better in Malta, maybe you're on to a winner!

Thanks, reception in Malta was fine in my Alfa. It's a tiny island so blanket coverage is easy. Any idea if DAB can be "switched on" by a firmware upgrade? I have the shark-fin aerial on the on the roof. If your's is 14 with and mine is 15 without I assume it was an optional extra.

I guess it must have been, although I rather assumed it was standard. No idea about the ability to switch on, but I'm pretty sure the shark's fin is for GPS, but may be combined. It's also not really clear if the FM amps *also* handle DAB or if there is a different part number

I've had two Ghibli's and the first did not have DAB but the second did. I looked into getting it for the first one but found it was an optional extra so could not be retro-fitted.
