Dartmoor blast

Sadly I was unable to make the Modena run this weekend and had family duties to attend in Devon... But being out of holiday season meant I had some nice clear country roads to explore!

Only wish I had a better camera with me to make the most of the views!

Car is now closing in on 113k miles, having done about 750 miles a month since I got her and without wanting to tempt tow truck fate, going great! Goes to show that if looked after mileage really shouldn't matter.

Your car looks great on those er' later type wheels Mark..those old school 3.2 biturbo motors are well able for high miles so I shouldn't worry

Thanks for the comments guys. I haven't driven a manual 3200, but I do love the auto even on empty open roads. I know it's old school with only 4 speeds but it works so nicely with the turbos and seems to suit the character of the car. Driving home tomorrow along the A303 and M3, fingers crossed I get a nice clear run so I can let the engine sing a bit before I get to the crawl of the M25 and A21 home.

Managed 24mpg on the way down even sitting at a 'healthy' pace. As much as a pain as these cars are to keep on top of in terms of maintenance, I honestly can't think of anything else I'd have unless I won the lottery!... And then I'd still keep the old girl!

Nice pics .The one's that have been used and driven are most often better than the "garage queens" . A bit of mileage with maintenance never hurt anyone !

like you, I love the way the autobox on these seems to work so well whatever road you are on and whatever you ask of it..........you just can't beat kicking down to 3rd and flooring it - imo what these cars shine at
