Just wondering if this is also a characteristic of the granturismo. My 2009 GT S had squeaky brakes (not curable) and my strad with ceramic brakes also have squeaky brakes.

What about everyone else? Does your Granturismo also squeaks when slowing down before traffic light?

I have a 2010 Granturismo but never had a problem with squeaking brakes

Reverse at speed, slam the brakes on.

Repeat 3 or 4 times and it will go away...but may return. This is glazed pads if it works temp.

My carbons squeal a bit, more than Matt’s he told me on MOB. It’s a bit annoying, but they certainly work well!

Will try the reverse tip and see if it works.

So Zep’s Stradale also has squeaking breaks as well, I was hoping this not to be an issue with carbon.

Never had squeaky brakes, but live on a mountain pass...I can only assume that my usage stops them glazing?

I get them in city stop and go situations , but a spray of brake cleaner on the disc and side of the pads ( on the outside ) resolves the issue .

Too gentle braking can cause them too . Make sure they are not too worn out either or the discs developed any mishape or signs or wear

My carbons do not squeal no. They do have a cheap crunching sound when you press them when stationary...same as Zep's. Quality that :)

Carbons do tend to squeak, and crunch a bit. Mine do, at least. They also have a sphincter-twitching lag before they bite when used in the wet.

Yep glazed pads. I used to get it on all my steel braked cars as I did not use the brakes hard enough. Now I make sure I do. On my carbon braked car they are really noisy and graunchy when cold but soon warm up and are silent. Beware carbons that are too graunchy, could be the pads breaking up due to not being used hard enough or something and they could damage the disk. Also on Astons a metal pin protudes from the pad way before the low pad warning which will also damage the disk so worth keeping an eye on pad wear
