Citroën UK have been the worst offenders for this. Having (once) bought a Citroën they passed my number around their marketing departments. I was receiving (expensive roaming) calls from them left right and centre. It took a fair bit of huffing and puffing on my part to make them stop.

It got me to thinking I would register a premium rate number to give out to all those companies who want my number. I looked into it and although OFCOM explain premium rate numbers are NOT to be used in this fashion there are people who do. I'd be quite happy to take calls about the latest C3 limited edition discount if I knew I was earning £1 per minute for listening to it.
