I doubt the mechanics were ever bullet proof and considering the panel gaps if this car could have stopped a determined assailant...and look at the price for some extra thick glass and some 1/4 steel.

Looked at that advert yesterday ..... chancing their arm with that price body armour or not.....Bet its bloody slow and heavy...
