Went there on my birthday as a treat from Mrs MLC and I highly recommend it.

As it's in the Design Museum, a worthy trip in its own right, the Ferrari Exhibition is from a design and manufacture point of view rather than sport or glamour.
They show how Ferrari changed its methods from metal bashing panels and aligning them on a wooden buck to pressed metal and clay modelling. There's an Endurance 365 in the lobby, a 275 and quite a few other models in the show including various engines. Speaking of engines they have a display of engine internals straight from casting and after machining. Which demonstrates how good our Ferrari derived engines are.

I'd go again, it's well worth the trip.

Been meaning to go. I rather like the design museum. The museum of brands is not far either.

Thinking about making the trek as it seems really interesting. Have to admit that getting to see an F40 250 and 275 all in one place also is a rare opportunity, specially the 250.

Enjoy reading up on car history definitely interested

When my daughter drops in, in about 30 mins, will check with her if she fancies a trip. She likes cars, and has ambitions for a AM. At work she is used to seeing AM, Porsches, MB AMGs, and occasionally a Bugatti; so a trip to see classic Ferraris will be right up her street.

I was at the NEC classic car show in November was fantastic but the Ferrari section was a bit of a letdown was hoping there would be an F40 there which is my own halo car but there wasn’t.

Like I say to see an F40, 275 and then the ultra rare and coveted 275 would be probably a once in a lifetime opportunity

I really enjoyed it. I went with a Ferrari owning mate who is a walking encyclopaedia on the marque - it was like having my own personal guide.

Seeing some of the early stuff in the metal is lovely. Lot's of interesting memorabilia including the early drawings - which are surprisingly amateur.

It's not that big: taking our time, examining everything, discussing all the exhibits in detail, we were out in two hours.

I can get full family return for £56 if I book now and get 30 day advance rate. It says 15 mins to Paddington ?

That seems reasonable to me.
I recall my journey was closer to an hour and was about £50 and that must have been 15 years ago
I remember because I thought I was being ripped off at the time

Heathrow Express is easily the quickest route to Paddington... it's usually quite pricey but that sounds like a good advance deal... but...

If this is at the new Design Museum in South Kensington... then you'll be getting another tube or taxi to there from Paddington... whereas you could go their direct on the Picadilly line tube... and whilst that won't move as quickly I think it would normally be quicker for that A to B. Should be cheaper too... especially if you will continue to use a day travel card later in the day.

Where are you coming from to need the Express mind? Must be a good show if you're flying in just for that!

Staying at Heathrow Chris, making a few days of it with wife and kids, legoland and a few other things. It’s the kids I’m bothered about as in staying on trains etc for too long. Happy to jump in a few taxis.

Dubious about taking the bairns on tube just with how busy it is.
