First Maserati

Just bought my first Maserati (2013 Granturismo Sport Auto) after 5 years of Porsche ownership. Initial feelings about the car are very good, although it feels a bit slow after my 997 Turbo. Still, it's a GT not a sports car so will get used to it no doubt.
Quick mention for JCT600 Leeds who have been excellent; called about the car last Saturday, placed deposit Sunday, it was delivered Thursday and the Porsche waved goodbye, all in one seamless movement.

Hi Sticks, and welcome. Isn't it amazing how easy it can be to do the right thing?

Glad you're enjoying it. Photos always welcomed. Visit often, contribute frequently, and get involved socially. Are you planning on going to Auto Italia at Brooklands next month?

Hi Sticks,

Welcome to the forum. You mention that the GT doesn't feel as quick as your 997 Turbo, but did the Porsche put a silly grin on your face every time you started it? That's the Maserati magic!

Are you planning on going to Auto Italia at Brooklands next month?
Adam (hi), do you have to register or do you just turn up on the day? Hope you're well. M

Welcome and congratulations on your new purchase. You're right - it's definitely slower than a 997 turbo, but........it's way better in every other way. And it's hardly slow!

Hi Blondie, all good, thanks. And you? I haven't registered yet but probably will. Be good to see you there if you plan on trotting over. Quite local to you now you're out in the sticks.

You can just turn up on the day.
However, if you register, with a yellow Strad I imagine they'll reserve you a space in a good location.

Maserati are all about Sound, senses and beauty.

None of my previous Germans promised all three simultaneously.

A warm welcome to the forum sticks, you have moved in to a marque that's about beauty, sound, rareness and quick..!! You can not say that about German cars, so get used to the envious looks when you drive by. Enjoy your new wheels..!!
