Hello SportsMaserati,

I have sure enjoyed and learned from posts on this group. I have owned over 40 Alfa Romeos over about 40 years, everything from Giulietta Spyders to black market (in the US) 156 and 166. Just a little more about my situation, the past seven years my wife and I have been sailing around the world on our 42 ft sailboat. But now we are snow birds, winters in the Caribbean and summers in Wisconsin, US. During the years as a full time cruiser, I have been starved for loud, fast and dangerous toys!

The past two summers I have been driving a 2013 Fiat Abarth. My first Fiat, I'm blown away what a great and fun car it is. I'm still going to keep it. The internet is strong now in the Caribbean so I have been watching shows like Wheeler Dealer. That's where I first became more familiar with the 4200. I read a lot about these cars and coincidently, a college buddy bought a CC Spyder. He loves it. I'm a dedicated manual transmission guy so was skeptical of the CC function and reliability. My search uncovered a 2003 Spyder, manual 6 speed with 33,000 miles in New Mexico (no road salt there). I bought it sight unseen and it was shipped to my Italian brothers at Reina International in Wisconsin. They are driving it and gave it a thumbs up!

I'm looking forward to getting to know this car. The only mechanical issue seems to be the clutch pedal that gets soft after a bit of driving, primary reason the seller sold the car. The threads here have pointed to the master cylinder or the clutch pedal return spring as possible issues. I think I can fix this.

My question to the group is where can I get a good shop manual for this car? Online or print?

Cheers and thanks for having me.

Welcome, a few of us have gone the Alfa to Maserati route. Hopefully your clutch issue is reasonably straightforward to fix, but probably not as it a Maserati lol

I would recomend a trip to Antigua & Barbuda in March you can park your 42 sailboat in English harbour or Nelsons docks down south of the island and join the lads in their races around the island which are held every March and enjoy the beach parties Shirley Heights is well worth a visit on sundays where the booze is flowing bands are playing and plenty of food
