Fitting new Alcantara headlining - wha's this mystery module?

Getting ready for a long list of minor projects on the 3200

Fit alcantara headlining - but comes with a mystery electrical module "hyper-frequency module M23/98". Has frequency range 10Ghz so surely a receiver or transponder, my guess is a tracker?

Can't see it on the eurospares parts list, but they are for sale on ebay for £39, suitable for QP IV

Anyone know what it is and if I will be in trouble disturbing my own (if fitted). My car did come with a tracker fitted, but I have ceased the premiums.

Good call - didn't even think about that. Might retain the old one in my car, in case they are "paired"?

Not sure about that. Personally I'd aim to leave well alone where at all possible. Use the old one. I guess that may be what you mean?
