First the hood wouldn't go up but with a bit of tapping and banging eventually the tap on the metal plate behind the passenger seat got the whole thing working again but now have another problem, the boot won't open off the fob or the button in the glove box, it only opens manually with the key. As I'm getting no noise at all I think the fuse may have blown(hoping). Can anyone tell what fuse is linked with boot opening and also does that fuse run anything else?
Thanks for any help
Mark

IMHO more likely the wiring from the car to the solenoid via the fleixble trunking. However the fuse and relay are simpler to check, ergo should be cheked first ;)

This was the blighter causing the trouble, swapped it for the petrol flap relay and the boot undid on the fob and button in glovebox.
Now to see if I can source one local.

Just ordered one, it's a Bitron B047 46520411 12v 20A, the one I ordered was advertised to be used on a Fiat Bravo but didn't say where on a Fiat Bravo.

Don't matter, chap. It's just a switch. As long as the pins, the pinout and the amperage rating is at least as much, it'll work just fine. Completely standard part all over the automotive world.

It was only £7 delivered, but handy to know they are common product Catman.

Sounds like a perfectly reasonable price. Hope it resolves your issues :)

I tried the fuel flap one which made it work again but never say never with these Italian electrical glitches.
When I got the car there was a bill for about £1400 from HR Owen in the folder of work done, it was for getting one of the keys refurbed, amongst the hood not going up and the boot key fob not working yesterday the remote lock on one of the keys decided to throw the towel in, anyway decided to check the batteries in there with the meter, they were fine, put it all back together, tried the remote lock and it was working fine again. All in all bit of a result today, could of been spending £1407. lol

Heh. New key will be about £400 all in. The microswitches go, though and that's comparatively simple to repair. Sounds like that may be your issue
